Verily I did poke myself.

That went well. I think I can do the next one, no problem, which will be two weeks from today. They made it sound like they were upping my dose but that's what they originally prescribed for me.

On bait and switch: Dr. L rocks. He's one of the most personable and respectful medical doctors I've ever had the pleasure of seeing, on par with Dr. B who was a good friend and boss as well as my chiropractor. However, today was the first day I'd seen him in months, and that was for him just to stick his head in the door and say hi and wish me luck in my move. M has been treating me— I'd assume she's a physician's assistant or something. It was she, I think, who reduced my dose down to .25 cc every three weeks for the first shot, which I knew wasn't going to be enough, because that wasn't even close to what I was getting on the gel (taking absorbtion into account).

Well, .25 every two weeks should work out, and I'm not interested in rushing anything. I thought I might be having hot flashes the last week or so, but it was hard to tell in Florida. We'll see about keeping my levels more even now.

I got a copy of my labs, and my hemoglobin and hematocrit are still high. I'm going to try cutting back on red meat and getting back on a regular supplement schedule to address my B-vitamin issues; maybe that will help level things out. They're not very high, or I'd be more worried, but I should be keeping track of that.
